In late 2000, a young man burst onto the Australian wrestling
scene. Debuting for Professional Championship Wrestling in
Melbourne, Spike Steele was a new breed of Australian wrestler.
In the past 7 years, Spike has created etched his name into the
Australian wrestling landscape through hard work and a win at
all costs attitude. He has been responsible for some of the best
matches in Australian wrestling history including the now famous
ladder match with Lobo at the second Australian Wrestling
Supershow.
Steele is as recognised for his intensity and rough style as he
is for the massive tattoo that covers his back. But his brawling
style should not be confused for a lack of technique. Spike is
one of the most gifted mat technicians in Australia today.
After a quick start to his career, he lost several years to a
severe wrist injury. But his return in 2006 has seen him quickly
rise again through out promotions all across this country.
Now a regular in Explosive Pro Wrestling, both in Perth and
Adelaide, Spike will look to win his first major championship on
November 23rd 2007, as he takes his place in the NWA Australian
championship tournament.
