Since blasting onto the wrestling scene in 1992 as the Lightning
Kid, Sean Waltman has left an indelible mark wherever he has
travelled in professional wrestling.
More famously known as Degeneration X member, X-Pac, Waltman is
credited with almost single-handedly revolutionising the North
American wrestling scene in the mid 90s. With his speed, agility
and martial arts ability, Waltman brought a new style that had
not been previously seen in America.
Despite having competed all over the world, it was his time in
the World Wrestling Federation (now World Wrestling
Entertainment) that fans would recall most vividly. As a member
of DX, Waltman’s popularity soared and he became a two time
European Champion and four time WWF tag team champion.
Since that time, he has worked for various promotions through
out the United States and Mexico. Waltman has continued to make
an impact on professional wrestling, even capturing the TNA
X-Division title in 2002.
He was a part of the shortlived Wrestling Society X before
heading south of the border to compete for AAA in Mexico.
Waltman is still an incredibly popular figure wherever he
travels and you would be hard pressed to find a bigger name in
the world of independent wrestling today.
