There can be no doubt that this man is the single most dominant wrestler within Western Australia. Jimmy travelled to South Australia to receive his formative training from former professional wrestler, Col Dervany.

Under Dervany’s guidance Jimmy quickly gained that knowledge and confidence needed to immediately make an impact in the Australian wrestling scene.

His debut on Novemeber 4th 2001 was a huge success as he claimed the inaugural EPW Invitational Tournament trophy. This tournament is still currently the longest running tourney of it’s kind in Australia. Payne smashed his way past 15 other wrestlers as he fought four times in one day to claim the Invitational trophy.

Exactly one year later he won his first EPW championship at the first RE-AWAKENING. After a serious neck injury threatened his career for most of 2004, Jimmy bounced back to his best in 2005 before winning the EPW championship for a second time in 2006.

Jimmy’s peers rate him as one of the most gifted and natural wrestlers in Australia today. His mat skills and intensity have seen him labelled as the hardest hitting wrestler in Western Australia. Payne has rarely ventured outside of WA to compete, preferring to concentrate his efforts on maintaining his stranglehold on the EPW championship here in Perth.
