When you talk about experience in Australian
wrestling, you simply can not look past Hartley Jackson. Now in
his 11th year as a pro, Jackson has wrestled all across
Australia, as well as including trips to the United States and
Japan to his resume.
Under the name ‘Jag’, Jackson was known early in his career as
the ‘Extreme High Flier’.
Together with his on again-off again tag team partner, Havok, he
stole many a show in his debut year and quickly developed a
reputation for being an excitement machine in the ring. The two
won a fan voted award for Australian Match of the Year in just
their third match as pros.
Hartley has wrestled in every major Australian wrestling group
including being featured on the first three Australian wrestling
Supershows.
In 2005 he journeyed to the United States to test himself
against the best wrestlers that Southern California had to
offer. He accounted well for himself and even had a shot at
Fergal Devitt’s NWA British
Commonwealth championship. Jackson also gained much experience
training in the Inoki dojo in Santa Monica.
This led to him travelling to New Japan Pro Wrestling to tackle
two of New Japan’s finest in a tag team encounter. He accounted
himself well and thoroughly impressed the New Japan hierarchy.
Over the years, Jackson has matured as a wrestler and has
developed more of a ground and pound attitude following his
experiences at the Inoki dojo.
