Although Claudio Castagnoli first surfaced in 2000 in his
homeland of Switzerland, it was not until he travelled to the
United States years later that wrestling fans came to realise
the talents of this young man.
In a short period of time, Castagnoli has gone from being a
lesser light on the American independent wrestling scene to
being one of the most well known and travelled wrestlers on the
circuit today.
In his travels, Castagnoli has been influenced by the varied
training that he has received through out the years. World
Wrestling Entertainment wrestler Dave Taylor passed on a strong
knowledge of British wrestling which is apparent through
Claudio’s varied use of the European Uppercut.
Claudio himself was under the employ of the WWE for a short
period in late 2006.
He recently starred in a phenomenal match on the very first Ring
of Honour Pay Per View as he and Matt Sydal challenged the
Briscoe Brothers for the ROH World Tag Team Championships.
Claudio is set to become one of the biggest stars in American
Independent wrestling in 2007 and NWA Pro look forward to his
making his first trip to Australia in late November.
