NWA Pro officials were proud to announce that they were
negotiating for the winner of the recent World Championship
tournament to appear in Perth for the crowning of the very first
Australian Champion in November.
At the time of this announcement, the two finalists, Brian
Danielson & Brent Albright, had both signed letters of intent to
take part in the Perth show should they become champion.
Of course, before that match could take place, Danielson
suffered a serious injury to his retina and could not take his
place in the tournament final. He was replaced by the man he
defeated in the semi final, and NWA Pro regular, ‘Scrap Iron’
Adam Pearce.
As we all now know, Pearce shocked the world by defeating
Albright in the tournament final in Puerto Rico on September
1st.
As one of his first acts as NWA World Champion, he has
infuriated NWA Pro officials by refusing to travel to Australia
for their tour in November. He has claimed that as the new World
Champion he is above shows in ‘ass backward holes like
Australia.’
This has sent NWA Pro officials into a frenzy as they search for
a top quality replacement for this tour. Stay tuned for further
updates.
